We are looking for a Full-Time Office Administrator to join the team to support our Arrow Environmental and Streamline divisions in Kamloops.

Responsibilities

This Office Administrator’s principal role is to ensures the efficient, effective and accurate flow of financial information for the division. The Administrator ensures financial and business processes are followed and items are completed Arrow and Streamline's various software applications on an ongoing basis and according to deadlines. The Administrator will also be responsible for reception, office management, shipping and other general office duties.

 

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Code, enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable, receivable, payroll, purchase orders, invoices, petty cash transactions and visa statements in the appropriate computer systems.
  • Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports using computerized and manual systems.
  • Prepare analysis and/or reports as required by division, internal and/or external customers.
  • Ensure all Payroll and related paperwork is completed and filed appropriately.
  • Ensure all files are organized and maintained.
  • Assist in streamlining all office processes.
  • Order office supplies, service office equipment and arrange for servicing in the case of major maintenance.
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform clerical duties such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems and photocopying.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Respond to telephone, in person or electronic enquiries or forward to appropriate person.
  • Provide general information to customers and the public.
  • Process Credit Card payments.
  • Set up new customers and vendors and ensure accuracy of payable and receivable information.
  • Perform comprehensive reconciliations of accounts.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations and participate in identifying hazards.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You Possess

  • Understanding of and experience with the accounting cycle i.e. accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month end and year end processes
  • Relevant education and experience such as accounting, bookkeeping, office management, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly learn new computer applications
  • Excellent alphanumeric typing skills 
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written  
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude 
  • Organizational skills and keen attention to detail 
  • Strong concern for the accuracy and quality of work
