The Operations Manager's role is to plan, organize, coordinate and implement the short and medium-term corporate and operational goals and activities of the Division. This individual is responsible for safely managing all aspects, activities and resources (people and equipment) of the Division towards meeting customer commitments and financial goals (budgetary/profit and loss) while working within regulatory and legal compliance. This individual also works with the various functional Directors to ensure corporate compliance in areas of Safety, Human Resources, Maintenance and other corporate programs.
Minimum 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in trucking, rail, logistics, or related commodities.
Post-secondary education in Business, Operations, or Logistics is an asset.
Strong background in account management, customer service, and safety leadership.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to new software systems.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical, financial, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to lead by example, communicate effectively (verbal and written), and foster teamwork.
Professional, ethical, quality-driven, and highly adaptable under pressure.
