As an Arrow Marine Mechanic, you are required to remove and replace engines, mechanical systems, and fluid systems of commercial vessels. You will have the ability to perform a TCI/CSI (Re/Re prop, shaft, cutlass bearings, packing, dripless seals, various measurements and through hulls and valves) on commercial vessels. You will be able to take readings of shafts, rudder stocks and identify corrosion areas or wear on these parts.
Major Responsibilities

Minimum 2 years’ experience in the marine industry or a related field.
Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Technician or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) required.
Strong mechanical aptitude, including hydraulics and electrical systems, with the ability to read schematics and perform diagnostics.
Electrical experience with 12/24/110-volt systems, welding/fabrication experience, confined space training, and a Class 5 forklift ticket are considered assets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and quality.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including under pressure.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the interpersonal ability to work in a diverse environment.
Physically capable of performing demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and climbing on tugboats, fishing vessels, and barges.
