We are looking for a Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently transfer commodities to truck, rail, or container for furtherence.

• Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations, participate in identifying hazards
  
• Comply with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics
  
• Establish or adjust daily tasks/schedules to meet changing order priorities
  
• Maintenance of fleet equipment, e.g. wash and paint equipment
  
• Follow maintenance testing and repairs procedures of products
  
• Keep yard and equipment neat and organized
  
• May be asked to travel to other terminals to assist if necessary
  
• Provide internal and external Customer Service excellence
  
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard, shop, department, or work crew
  
• Ability to understand cross training on all functions at facility
  
• Operate forklifts to handle various weight capacities (15,000lbs - 25,000lbs.)
• Loading and unloading product from railcars and trucks
• Support inventory control (inbound/outbound/on ground) and accurately document  
• Ability to prepare load plans for railcars, trucks and/or containers  
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment
• Inspect and verify product condition to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures  
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew 
• Other duties as assigned by the Division Manager

• Previous relevant forklift experience (capacity of 15,000lbs)
• Can carry at least 50 lbs and swing a 10 lbs sledge hammer
• Good physical condition
  
• Comfortable with heights
• Experience loading and unloading commodities from trucks or railcars an asset
  
• Experience working in a lumber yard is an asset
• Experience working with computers is an asset
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  
• Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
