We are looking for an HR Generalist to join the Arrow team in Kamloops, BC.

 

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing a diverse range of Human Resources support to all members of Arrow Transportation Systems Inc. and subsidiary companies. They will be involved in the development of policy, procedures, recruitment and retention initiatives and employee and labour relations. Other duties involve maintaining accurate, up-to-date HR management systems, personnel records, metrics reports, and providing advisory services. 

 

Employee and Labour Relations, Investigations & Workplace Culture

  • Lead and support employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management issues, and workplace conflict, while maintaining confidentiality, consistency, and procedural fairness.
  • Act as a key resource for bullying and harassment concerns, supporting respectful workplace practices and ensuring matters are addressed promptly, professionally, and in accordance with policy and legislation.
  • Help ensure organization-wide compliance with provincial and state employment legislation, collective agreements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct ongoing research and compliance initiatives related to Human Resources issues to keep leadership informed of legislative or best‑practice developments.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of HR- related company policies, employment law, and communicate effectively with employees and leaders to promote understanding and compliance

 

Talent Management, Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Establish recruitment requirements and objectives by partnering with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and role expectations.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and selection for a range of positions, including job postings, resume screening, candidate sourcing, interviews, testing, reference checks, and selection recommendations.
  • Support organizational research, benchmarking, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Conduct competitive market research to support pay practices and compensation benchmarking.

 

HR Systems, Administration & Support

  • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries from managers, employees, and business partners.
  • Update, organize, and maintain HR systems and resources, including shared drives, intranet content, Learning Management Systems, and performance management tools.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned. 

 

You Possess

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • A degree in in Human Resources or a related field
  • Advanced communication skills (verbal, written, facilitation, negotiation, relationship‑building)
  • Problem solving and change management capability
  • Time, priority, and action management
  • Ability to prioritize based on business needs and risk mitigation
  • Professional accountability, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Flexibility and strong interpersonal effectiveness
  • Ethics, integrity, and professionalism
  • Positive, collaborative team mindset
  • Technical proficiency (Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems)
