The Portable Wood Processing Division (PWP) specializes in grinding wood material into a product that can be used for energy production. This division has base locations in Kamloops and Fort St. James. This position is based in Fort St. James.
Under the direction of the Division Manager, the Operations Supervisor role is to assist in the planning, organization, coordination, and implementation of the grinding program. It is the Operations Supervisor’s role to oversee and supervise the resources necessary (people and equipment) to accomplish the objectives of Arrow and our customers effectively and safely.
The position would also involve operating equipment as required when all unionized personnel are being utilized. This will occur in winter months, when an additional hand is needed or due to vacation or illness.

In particular, it is the Operations Supervisor’s role is to oversee and supervise the resources necessary (people and equipment) to meet customer commitments, maintenance commitments, while ensuring a safe, productive, compliant and cost efficient operation. The position would also involve operating equipment as required which will typically occur in winter months, when others are on vacation or ill and/or when an additional hand is needed.
You will work approximately 50% in the field and 50% in the office.
